BiographyNative of Xintai, Shandong, Wang joined the Communist Party of China in 1938. He participated in the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War. After the foundation of the People's Republic of China, Wang Fang has held several high-level official positions, including the Secretary of the CPC's Zhejiang Committee. He was the Minister of Public Security from April 1987 to November 1990. Wang was the member of the 12th CPC Central Committee from 1982 to 1987, and member of the Central Advisory Commission from 1987 to 1992.
