This song was the first of many "disses" released by Westside Connection and it was referred towards Chicago-based rapper, Common, after he released his single "I Used to Love H.E.R.", which Westside Connection interpreted as a diss towards the West Coast because of the then East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry.
