The station is part of Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), and airs WPR's "Ideas Network", consisting of news and talk programming. WHHI broadcasts in the HD Radio (hybrid) format.[1] TranslatorsWHHI is relayed by an additional translator station, which primarily exists to bring a clear Ideas Network signal to western Madison at night. The network's flagship, WHA, must power down to 51 watts at night, rendering it practically unlistenable even in Madison itself.
