It is found in Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. It is threatened by habitat destruction. StatusAlthough described as locally common in parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the white-naped pigeon is in general a scarce bird with a limited range. The chief threat it faces is the clearance of the forest habitat in which it lives, although it can survive in secondary woodland and has been reported in coffee plantations. The population trend is unknown and the International Union for Conservation of Nature has assessed its conservation status as "near threatened".[1] References1. ^1 {{IUCN|id=22690164 |title=Columba albinucha |assessor=BirdLife International |assessor-link=BirdLife International |version=2013.2 |year=2012 |accessdate=26 November 2013}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q639029}}{{DEFAULTSORT:pigeon, white-naped}}{{Columbiformes-stub}} 5 : Columba (genus)|Birds of Sub-Saharan Africa|Birds of Central Africa|Birds described in 1911|Taxonomy articles created by Polbot |
