The station, which first signed on in 1967, is still owned and operated by original license holder Ozark Broadcasting Corporation. WOAB broadcasts an oldies format as a simulcast with AM sister station WOZK.[1] HistoryWOAB signed on the air on July 9, 1967, with 2,850 watts of effective radiated power on 104.9 MHz.[2] Owned by the Ozark Broadcasting Company, this new FM station signed on as a separately-programmed sister station to WOZK (900 AM).[2] The station aired a primarily country music format through the 1970s.
