Licensed to Burlington, Vermont, United States, the station serves the Burlington-Plattsburgh area. The station is owned by Hall Communications, Inc.[1][2] It is not related to the former WOKO which started in the 1920s in New York City and operated for many years in Albany; that station is now WOPG. HistoryWOKO went on the air in 1962 as WJOY-FM; the station was also known as WQCR from 1972 to 1990, the call letters standing for "Queen City Rock".
