WOUB-FM is a radio station in the United States, broadcasting at FM 91.3 in Athens, Ohio. The station, owned by Ohio University, is a National Public Radio member station.[1] WOUB-FM is the flagship station of a five-station network, Ohio University Public Radio. WOUB debuted in 1942 as WOUI, a carrier current station broadcasting from Ewing Hall on the Ohio U. campus. It became a full-fledged station on December 13, 1949. Sometime in the early 1960s, it changed its calls to WOUB-FM. The station also serves most of southern and southeastern Ohio, plus portions of neighboring West Virginia and Kentucky, through a network of repeater stations:
Ohio University Public Radio also operates WOUB AM 1340, which offers a public radio schedule different from FM. ImagesReferences1. ^Athens News, 2004 http://www.denverradio.net/newforum/viewthread.php?tid=57 here External links
