The Young People's Religious Union (YPRU) was a Unitarian Youth organization founded in 1896. The organization celebrated by the Unitarian Young People's Sunday[1] held annual meetings beginning in 1918 through 1950.[2] Of note was the annual conference held at the Isle of Shoals, Portsmouth, NH in 1935.[3] Topics discussed at meetings of the organization included Christian Patriotism.[4] It was superseded by Liberal Religious Youth in 1953, as Unitarianism and Universalism came ever-closer together, but before the official consolidation in 1961. {{Unitarian, Universalist, and Unitarian Universalist topics}}{{Christianity footer|collapsed}}References1. ^{{Cite news|url=https://www.newspapers.com/image/65474395/?terms=%22Young+People's+Religious+Union%22|title=18 Apr 1906, Page 2 - Fitchburg Sentinel at Newspapers.com|newspaper=Newspapers.com|language=en|access-date=2017-01-28}} 4 : Christian youth organizations|Religious organizations established in 1896|Religious organizations disestablished in 1953|Defunct Christian organizations |
