Population: {{ru-census|p2010=7,056|p2002=7,692|p1989=6,059}} HistoryIt has been known since 1410.{{citation needed|date=February 2014}} Town status was granted to it in 1777.{{citation needed|date=February 2014}}During the Second World War the town was occupied by the Germans from October 5, 1941 to March 5, 1942.
