According to the 2000 census, population of the district is 13,650 of which 10,047 live in the town of Çamaş.[1][2] The district covers an area of {{convert|91|km2|sqmi|0|abbr=on}},[3] and the town lies at an elevation of {{convert|507|m|ft|0|abbr=on}}. The villages of Çamaş district include Budak, Edirli, Hisarbey, Sakargeriş, Saitler, and Söken.
