Černík ({{lang-hu|Csornok}}) is a village and municipality in the Nové Zámky District in the Nitra Region of south-west Slovakia. HistoryThe village was first mentioned in historical records in 1156. GeographyThe municipality lies at an altitude of 129 metres and covers an area of 13.389 km². It has a population of about 990 people. EthnicityThe population is about 99% Slovak. FacilitiesThe village has a small public library a gym and football pitch.
