Ḥ-R-M (Modern {{lang-he|ח–ר–מ}};[1][2] {{lang-ar|ح–ر–م}})[3] is the triconsonantal root of many Semitic words, and many of those words are used as names. The basic meaning expressed by the root translates as "forbidden".[4][5]{{rp|471}}
