Defensive end Wayne Martin, safety Steve Atwater, and placekicker Kendall Trainor were all named 1st Team All-American. Senior linebacker LaSalle Harper was named Defensive MVP of the 1989 Cotton Bowl, despite Arkansas losing the game.
