Like the previous year, both top seeds advanced to the final; Stanford made its first appearance in the title game and met the top-seeded (and top-ranked) Wildcats. Comfortably repeating as champion of the tournament was Arizona, which received the Pac-10's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Repeating as the Most Outstanding Player was Sean Elliott of Arizona.[1][2][3] This was the tournament's third edition and all ten teams participated.[4][5] Bracket{{10TeamBracket | RD1=Play-In RoundThursday, March 9 | RD2=Quarterfinals Friday, March 10 | RD3=Semifinals Saturday, March 11 | RD4=Final Sunday, March 12 | RD1-seed1=8 | RD1-team1=Washington State | RD1-score1=78 | RD1-seed2=9 | RD1-team2=Oregon | RD1-score2=56 | RD1-seed3=7 | RD1-team3=Arizona State | RD1-score3=82 | RD1-seed4=10 | RD1-team4=USC | RD1-score4=94 | RD2-seed1=1 | RD2-team1=#1 Arizona | RD2-score1=62 | RD2-seed2=8 | RD2-team2=Washington State | RD2-score2=54 | RD2-seed3=4 | RD2-team3=Oregon State | RD2-score3=79 | RD2-seed4=5 | RD2-team4=California | RD2-score4=66 | RD2-seed5=3 | RD2-team5=UCLA | RD2-score5=64 | RD2-seed6=6 | RD2-team6=Washington | RD2-score6=54 | RD2-seed7=2 | RD2-team7=#12 Stanford | RD2-score7=66 | RD2-seed8=10 | RD2-team8=USC | RD2-score8=61 | RD3-seed1=1 | RD3-team1=#1 Arizona | RD3-score1=98 | RD3-seed2=4 | RD3-team2=Oregon State | RD3-score2=87 | RD3-seed3=3 | RD3-team3=UCLA | RD3-score3=86 | RD3-seed4=2 | RD3-team4=#12 Stanford | RD3-score4=95 | RD4-seed1=1 | RD4-team1=#1 Arizona | RD4-score1=73 | RD4-seed2=2 | RD4-team2=#12 Stanford | RD4-score2=51 }} There were no overtime games Tournament Notes
