Group 2 consisted of six of the 39 teams entered into the European zone:[1] England, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, San Marino, and Turkey. These six teams competed on a home-and-away basis for two of the 12 spots allocated to the European zone in the final tournament, with the group's winner and runner-up claiming those spots. Standings
