Other TeamsThe Warriors had feeder agreements with the Newtown Jets in the NSWRL Premier League and Brisbane Souths in the Queensland Cup.[2] Players not selected for the first grade side would be sent to one of these clubs for the weekend. This arrangement also worked the other way when the Warriors signed Jason Bell from the Jets mid way through the season and the Brisbane Souths captain, David Mulhall, made his debut in Round 20. Occasionally players were also released to Bartercard Cup teams.[3] AwardsRobert Mears won the clubs Player of the Year award.[4]References1. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=112604 |title=Warriors go with experience for warm-up match |author=Jessup, Peter |date=19 January 2000 |work=The New Zealand Herald |accessdate=14 September 2011}} 2. ^Richard Becht Backs To The Future, 16 March 2000 3. ^John Coffey Whatuira boosts Wainui backline The Press, 8 April 2000 4. ^New Zealand Rugby League Annual 2002, New Zealand Rugby Football League, 2002. p.50
