The 2008–09 Boston College Eagles men's basketball team played basketball for the Boston College Eagles. In 2007–08, they went 14–17 (4–12 ACC). Boston College's basketball program is one of the most popular and successful college basketball programs in the Northeast. The Eagles are most well known for their famous alumni, such as John Bagley, Howard Eisley, Dana Barros, Danya Abrams, Michael Adams, Craig Smith, Jared Dudley, Tyrese Rice and Sean Marshall. Al Skinner has stabilized the program ever since Jim O'Brien left and has constantly produced winning seasons. Skinner's teams are known to run the flex offense in the half-court set.
