The 2008–09 Sacramento Kings season is the 64th season of the franchise, 60th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), 24th in Sacramento. The Kings finished with a franchise-worst 17–65. On December 15, 2008, the Kings fired their head coach Reggie Theus after a 6–18 start and replaced by Kenny Natt on the interim basis for the rest of the season. After the season, Natt and four assistant coaches were fired on April 24 and replaced by former Phoenix Suns head coach Paul Westphal on June 9.
