The Buffaloes' last road win came on October 27, 2007 against Texas Tech. Hawaii quarterback Bryant Moniz ran for a career-best 121 yards and three touchdowns and threw for one touchdown and 20 completions on 33 attempts. Although Hawaii led most of the evening, Colorado made it interesting at the start of the fourth quarter, and took advantage of a fumble by Moniz; the Buffaloes cut the lead to 24–17 with a 34-yard field goal by placekicker Will Oliver. That was the last Colorado score, as Hawaii scored the game's last 10 points to secure the win.[15]{{Clear}} {{AmFootballScoreSummaryStart|VisitorName=Colorado|HomeName=Hawaii|state=collapsed}}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry| Quarter=1 | Time=9:49 | Team=Hawaii | DrivePlays=9 | DriveLength=63 | DriveTime=3:16 | Type=FG | yards=38 | Kicker=Kenton Chun | Visitor=0 | Home=3 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=2 | Time=10:39 | Team=Hawaii | DrivePlays=1 | DriveLength=57 | DriveTime=0:10 | Type=RushTD | Runner=Bryant Moniz | yards=57 | kickresult=good | Kicker=Kenton Chun | 2pt type=run/pass | 2pt result=good/failed/incomplete | Visitor=0 | Home=10 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=2 | Time=0:24 | Team=Hawaii | DrivePlays=7 | DriveLength=87 | DriveTime=1:50 | Type=RushTD | Runner=Bryant Moniz | yards=14 | kickresult=good | Kicker=Kenton Chun | 2pt type=run/pass | 2pt result=good/failed/incomplete | Visitor=0 | Home=17 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=3 | Time=12:02 | Team=Colorado | DrivePlays=6 | DriveLength=73 | DriveTime=2:50 | Type=RecTD | Receiver=Paul Richardson | QB=Tyler Hansen | yards=15 | kickresult=good | Kicker=Will Oliver | 2pt type=run/pass | 2pt result=good/failed/incomplete | Visitor=7 | Home=17 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=3 | Time=5:59 | Team=Hawaii | DrivePlays=10 | DriveLength=48 | DriveTime=5:53 | Type=RushTD | Runner=Bryant Moniz | yards=1 | kickresult=good | Kicker=Kenton Chun | 2pt type=run/pass | 2pt result=good/failed/incomplete | Visitor=7 | Home=24 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=3 | Time=1:51 | Team=Colorado | DrivePlays=4 | DriveLength=63 | DriveTime=1:08 | Type=RecTD | Receiver=Paul Richardson | QB=Tyler Hansen | yards=21 | kickresult=good | Kicker=Will Oliver | 2pt type=run/pass | 2pt result=good/failed/incomplete | Visitor=14 | Home=24 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=4 | Time=14:51 | Team=Colorado | DrivePlays=5 | DriveLength=17 | DriveTime=1:53 | Type=FG | yards=34 | Kicker=Will Oliver | Visitor=17 | Home=24 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=4 | Time=6:17 | Team=Hawaii | DrivePlays=8 | DriveLength=45 | DriveTime=4:05 | Type=RecTD | Receiver=Joey Iosefa | QB=Bryant Moniz | yards=22 | kickresult=good | Kicker=Kenton Chun | 2pt type=run/pass | 2pt result=good/failed/incomplete | Visitor=17 | Home=31 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEntry | Quarter=4 | Time=4:52 | Team=Hawaii | DrivePlays=4 | DriveLength=6 | DriveTime=0:16 | Type=FG | yards=22 | Kicker=Tyler Hadden | Visitor=17 | Home=34 }}{{AmFootballScoreSummaryEnd|Visitor=17|Home=34}} California{{Linescore Amfootball||Road=Golden Bears |R1=0 |R2=16 |R3=7 |R4=7 |R5=6 |Home=Buffaloes |H1=3 |H2=3 |H3=14 |H4=10 |H5=3 }}{{see also |2011 California Golden Bears football team}} Although both teams are members of the Pac-12, this game counted as a non-conference game in the standings as this game was scheduled before Colorado joined the Pac-12.[16] Things started off rough for Cal, but after a failure at 4th and goal for Colorado and later a field goal, Cal capitalized on the momentum shift and raced out to a 16–6 lead at halftime. Cal continue to score, but the Buffaloes rebounded strongly by outgaining Cal offensively and later tied the game.
