Abbas Ahmed Atwi (Arabic: عباس أحمد عطوي; born 12 September 1979) is a Lebanese footballer who currently plays as midfielder for Shabab Al-Sahel.

Atwi started his career for Nejmeh in the 1997–98 season, and has played for 10 years for the club, till 2017 when he joined Al Shabab Al Arabi. He made his debut for the Lebanon national football team in a 2004 AFC Asian Cup qualifying match against Jordan on 17 October 2003.^[2] He appeared in eight qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.^[3]

He is not related to fellow Lebanese footballer Abbas Ali Atwi, who is also known as Onika.

International career

He began to play in 2002 for Lebanon in the match against Jordan. He appeared in every FIFA World Cup qualification in 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions. He is the most capped player for his country with 84 official matches.
