Abdali Medical Center ^[7] is a multi-specialty hospital providing high quality, patient-centered care in Amman, Jordan. It is currently under construction and set to start operations in 2019. It combines international medical best-practices with industry leading technology and innovation to revolutionize the standards of care in the region. Master plan change

The building in the new district of Abdali in which the hospital will occupy, was supposed to be built for commercial and residential purposes in a project named then as "Vertex Tower and Residences", and construction began on it in mid 2008.

However, in 2011, following the Global financial crisis in 2009, construction was put on hold due to financial problems that the contracting company suffered from, and the construction site was abandoned for several years.

Later in 2014,^[8] Greater Amman Municipality planned to build a hospital in the new district of Abdali, in order to stimulate investment in Jordan, especially in the medical sector, and decided that the hospital will be constructed within the "Vertex Tower and Residences" project's building which was abandoned since 2011.

Finally, in the third quarter of 2015, work resumed within the building of the previous suspended project "Vertex Tower and Residences" to reconstruct and develop it to a new medical-use project called "Abdali Medical Center", the first of its kind in Jordan, with the highest standards run by Clemenceau Medicine International (CMI),^[9]{{Better source|reason=per WP:CIRCULAR|date=July 2018}} the project is estimated to be completed in the third quarter of the year 2019.

Construction incidents

Crane collapse

On the afternoon of Saturday July 7, 2018, a mobile crane was in the process of dismantling a tower crane (one of two tower cranes at the AMC project).

However, due to a mechanical failure, the mobile crane collapsed with the tower crane that was being held, resulting in 4 medium injuries, 2 vehicles damaged. In addition, solar panels on the roof of the House of Representatives building nearby was also damaged. On the other hand, no damage has occurred to the CMC building.

After the incident Greater Amman Municipality declared that a few days earlier it had certified that the mobile crane was safe to use.
