Gray, a full-back, came to the Melbourne Football Club from Leopold. He made 16 appearances in his debut VFL season and seven more, including a Semi Final, before the war interrupted his career after 1915. Gray resumed at Melbourne in 1919 but the club had a poor year and he experienced a loss in each of his 13 games.[2] References1. ^{{cite news |url=http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article967464 |title=Obituary. |newspaper=The Argus |location=Melbourne |date=27 July 1945 |accessdate=30 December 2014 |page=6 |publisher=National Library of Australia}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Gray, Alec}}{{AFL-bio-1890s-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/A/Alec_Gray.html| title=Alec Gray| publisher=AFL Tables}} 4 : 1891 births|1945 deaths|Melbourne Football Club players|Australian rules footballers from Victoria (Australia) |
