Véliz is a former executive secretary of the Federación Sindical Única de Trabajadores Campesinos de Cochabamba (FSUTCC), and former Secretary General of the Confederación Sindical Única de Trabajadores Campesinos de Bolivia (CSUTCB).^[1]
