She was the President of New York Women in Film & Television, 2012-2017. [1] Alexis started her career in production on larger budget studio films from Mississippi Burning to Jacob's Ladder, A League of Their Own and Striptease, before becoming an independent producer. In 1999 she partnered with Gary Winick to build the ground breaking digital initiative InDigEnt. There she produced nine digital features including Sundance favorites, TADPOLE, PERSONAL VELOCITY and PIECES OF APRIL. She co-founded Elixir Films with her brother David and together produced the international hit television series Long Way Round.
