It is a center for spiritual practice and for humanitarian causes [1] It has a hall that seats up to 2,000 people, a library, administration office for the Drukpa Lineage, a nunnery, residences for 300 nuns, and a medical clinic. It is a refuge for animals saved from butchering and has vegetable gardens to provide food for the center.[1] The hiking trail here are as attractive as the monastery and the surrounding scenarios.[2] References1. ^1 2 {{cite web | url=http://www.drukpa.org/index.php/en/2013-02-14-15-47-38/monastic-centres/nepal/303-druk-amitabha-mountain | title=Druk Amitabha Mountain | publisher=The Gyalwang Drukpa | accessdate=May 30, 2013}} {{Buddhist monasteries in Nepal|state=expanded}}{{Buddhism topics}}{{Nepal-struct-stub}}{{Buddhism-monastery-stub}}2. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.everestuncensored.org/amitabha-monastery-hiking/ | title=Amitabha Monastery Hiking}} 3. ^{{cite book|author1=David Reed|author2=James McConnachie|title=The Rough Guide to Nepal|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=-PxBriKLznYC&pg=PT340|accessdate=May 30, 2013|date=1 October 2009|publisher=Rough Guides|isbn=978-1-4053-8049-2|page=340}} 5 : Buddhist temples in Nepal|Kagyu|Buildings and structures in Kathmandu|Tourist attractions in Kathmandu|Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal |
