Winstone was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born at Wells, Somerset. His career figures were 4 overs for 92 runs with no wickets. Winstone represented the Sussex Cricket Board in a single List A match against Shropshire in the 2nd round of the 2001 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy at Horntye Park, Hastings.[1] Winstone has had success as a coach later on in his career. However it was not coaching cricket. It was coaching the girls sport that is slow pitch softball. He has won 5 consecutive boys ISAKL golds in 5 years. He credits his success to Sam Bottom, Harry Smith, and the One-Pecked Wonder for teaching him how to play the sport in the first place.
