Antonia Bernath (born 1984) is an English/American actress, voiceover artist and singer. She starred as Priscilla Presley in the Emmy nominated CBS show Elvis, alongside Jonathan Rhys Myers’. She played the role of Chloe in film St Trinians and Susan Borman in the ABC show, The Astronaut Wives Club. She starred as Katherine Beckett in the 2005 Bollywood film The Warrior Poet and had a leading role in the television series Trinity. She also played Laura Edmunds in Downton Abbey.

According to an article in the Daily Mail, her role in ''Kisna'' made her "the first white British actress to star in an Indian blockbuster".[1]

She is also known for her voiceover work, notably in video games Battlefront and The Witcher.

She is married to production manager Oliver Cockerham.

Career

Prior to studying at the Bristol Old Vic, Bernath studied English Literature at Cambridge University. At this time she was part of the National Youth Music Theatre and played parts including Guinevere in their production of Pendragon. She was also the face of Johnson and Johnson Clean and Clear facewash for an International Campaign. She debuted on British Television in the Hogmanay special episode of Monarch of the Glen as Becky Body.

Her feature film debut was starring in The Warrior Poet (2005), playing Katherine Beckett,[2] as one of the first leading British actresses in a Bollywood film. A review in the Hindustan Times declared her performance "good" and "cutely pleasing".[3] Since her debut, she gained television experience portraying Priscilla Presley in the CBS television film, Elvis (2005), alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Randy Quaid and Robert Patrick. Her further television roles include portraying Lucy Bellham in Heartbeat, and Nikki Brown, a semi-regular, in Holby City.

She went on to appear in the film St Trinian's in 2007, as posh totty Chloe, and can also be seen playing the Weather Girl for Radio Sunshine, in the Richard Curtis film The Boat That Rocked. She played a leading role, Charlotte Arc, in the 2009 ITV2 drama Trinity.[4] alongside Charles Dance, Claire Skinner, and Reggie Yates. A review in The Morton Report described her performance in Trinity as "consistently strong".[5]

Bernath was cast as jealous sister Jimi in British thriller Cuckoo, co-starring Richard E. Grant and Laura Fraser.

In 2012, Bernath is appeared in Chariots of Fire, the West End stage adaptation of the film of the same title. She played Florence Mackenzie, the fiancée of Eric Liddell who was played by Jack Lowden.

Bernath plays the female lead in the British horror comedy Stalled directed by Christian James and starring Dan Palmer.

In 2013, she played Kim in British hit comedy film, Powder Room starring Sheridan Smith.

She plays Susan Borman, wife of astronaut, Frank Borman, in the American period drama television series, The Astronaut Wives Club, developed by Stephanie Savage for ABC.

She plays magazine editor Laura Edmunds in the final season of Downton Abbey.[6][7]

Bernath is the voice of Syanna in the video game, Blood and Wine.

She voices a main Imperial Commander in video game Battlefront.

Bernath co-starred as Dr.Susan Gibbs in the Fox medical drama pilot, Zoobiquity with Kim Raver and Peter Facinelli.[8]
