}}Apamea zeta is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It has a Holarctic distribution, and can be found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. It occurs throughout Europe and the northern half of North America.[1] The wingspan is 43–50 mm. The moth is quite variable, but it is often gray-green in color.[1] Adults are on wing from July to August in Britain. The larvae are cutworms that feed on various grasses. In North America the cutworm can be found on fescues in alpine tundra habitat.[1] Subspecies
