The length of river is approximately {{convert|294|km|sp=us}} and its basin area is {{convert|7060|km2|sp=us}}. It rises on the western slope in the southwestern region of the Sikhote-Alin mountain range.[1] The largest inhabited localities on the river are Anuchino, Arsenyev, and Yakovlevka. The longest tributaries are the Muravyevka at {{convert|82|km|mi}} which joins the Arsenyeka near Anuchino, the Sinegorka at {{convert|52|km|mi}}, and the Lipovtsy, {{convert|41|km|mi}}.
