Asagiri Station is served by the Sanyo Main Line, referred to as the JR Kobe Line.

The station consists of a single island platform serving two tracks. The station has a "Midori no madoguchi" ticket office.^[1]

History

11 people were killed and 247 injured in the Akashi pedestrian bridge accident that occurred on a pedestrian bridge leading to the station on 21 July 2001.^[2]
