History and specificityThe theatre was founded by Sergei Fedotov in 1988 as a recreation centre for the workers of the telephone factory. In 1992 it has been formally registered as a theatre. It has won its fame with the Pannochka performance. Since then over 2000 performances took place there. The reason behind its colloquial name, the mystical theatre, is that the dominant theme of its shows is usually bound with mysticism. The repertoire consists of the works of such authors as Nikolai Gogol, Mikhail Bulgakov, Fyodor Dostoevsky, William Shakespeare, Evgeny Shvarts, and Leonid Andreyev. Modern writers such as Martin McDonagh are also represented. The theatre participates in 17 Russian and 36 international festivals. It has toured a number of cities of Russia and European countries. CapacityThe auditorium of the theatre accommodates 160 seats.
