{{Infobox_gene}}Ataxin-2-like protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ATXN2L gene.[1][2][3]This gene encodes an ataxin type 2 related protein of unknown function. This protein is a member of the spinocerebellar ataxia (SCAs) family, which is associated with a complex group of neurodegenerative disorders. Several alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[4] InteractionsATXN2L has been shown to interact with Myeloproliferative leukemia virus oncogene.[1] References1. ^1 {{cite journal | vauthors = Meunier C, Bordereaux D, Porteu F, Gisselbrecht S, Chretien S, Courtois G | title = Cloning and characterization of a family of proteins associated with Mpl | journal = J Biol Chem | volume = 277 | issue = 11 | pages = 9139–47 |date=Mar 2002 | pmid = 11784712 | pmc = | doi = 10.1074/jbc.M105970200 }} 2. ^{{cite journal | vauthors = Figueroa KP, Pulst SM | title = Identification and expression of the gene for human ataxin-2-related protein on chromosome 16 | journal = Exp Neurol | volume = 184 | issue = 2 | pages = 669–78 |date=Feb 2004 | pmid = 14769358 | pmc = | doi = 10.1016/S0014-4886(03)00287-5 }} 3. ^{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: ATXN2L ataxin 2-like| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=11273| accessdate = }} 4. ^{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: ATXN2L ataxin 2-like| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=11273| accessdate = }}
