Bagga are Punjabi people found in Punjab (India)[1] and Punjab (Pakistan). "BAGGA" is actually the name of a small town in Swat valley in Pakistan. Those who travelled out to other places attached bagga as their surname, during those times i.e. ard 1900 A.D. the surnames often indicated the place one belonged to rather than lineage. "BAGGA" is also derived by the punjabi connotation to a tiger i.e. BAAGH, and BAAGH was the legendary ride of Mata Vaishno Devi and those who showed bravery in public life were also called "BAGGA".
