Kmart moved outside the mall in the early 1990s and its building was never re-tenanted.^[3] The Sears building was later occupied by a Big Lots discount store, which closed in 2003.^[4]

In August 2010, renovations began on the mall at the Sears end for conversion to office space.^[5]
