HistoryEstablished by the will of John Newlands, a Jamaican-plantation owner in 1799,[2] the school was originally located on Marjoribanks Street. The current building dates from 1831 and was designed by R & R Dickson.[3] This building was taken over by West Lothian College in the 1960s, when the school moved to its current location.
