}}Bauera microphylla is a small many-branched shrub found in eastern Australia. It grows in heathland with high rainfall areas not far from Sydney, around 30 cm in height.[1] It is related to, though dissimilar to the rainforest tree Coachwood. The specific epithet microphylla means "small leaves".[2] Leaflets are small, 2 to 9 mm long and 1 to 2.5 mm wide. Leaf edges are entire or with two to six teeth. Flowers are mostly six petaled, though some have five or seven. Flowers white or pink, 7 to 14 mm wide. The flower stalk is red, 5 mm long. Sepals are noticeable in spring to summer, when in flower.
