The suburban rail services run on existing China Railway lines. The suburban rail services are managed by the Beijing Railway Bureau, an agency of the Ministry of Railways that is not affiliated with the Beijing Mass Transit Railway Operation Corp., Ltd, the municipal company that operates the subway. There are 3 suburban railway corridor currently in operation: Line S2, Sub-Central line and Huairou–Miyun line. In operation
Route changes in 2016
PlannedJingyuan line (京原线), a commuter rail linking Fangshan District with Beijing South railway station in Fengtai District.[1] It will run on the Beijing–Yuanping railway (Jingyuan railway, 京原铁路).
