At the 2011 census, Bellmere recorded a population of 5,540 persons, with a median age of 30 years.[3] HistoryIt has been claimed that Bellmere was named after local landowner Arthur John Bell.[4] Bellmere State School opened on 14 July 1913 but closed in 1936.[5][6] DemographicsIn the {{CensusAU|2011}}, Bellmere recorded a population of 5,540 people, 51.8% female and 48.2% male.
