Early lifeSaul was educated at the University of Sydney, graduating with a B.A. (Hons.) and LL.B. (Hons.), and Magdalen College, Oxford, where he received a D.Phil. CareerBen Saul has published articles in various international law journals and is the author of an authoritative book, Defining Terrorism in International Law.[4] Ben Saul was a member of the International Law Association’s International Committee for the Compensation of Victims of War; President of the Refugee Advice and Casework Service; Vice-President of the International Law Association (Australian Branch); Vice-President of Sydney PEN; a board member of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights; and a Member of the NSW Legal Aid Commission’s Human Rights Committee.[3] Books
