释义 |
The Berliner-Joyce XF3J was an American biplane fighter, built by Berliner-Joyce Aircraft. It was submitted to the United States Navy for their request for a single-seat carrier-based fighter powered by a {{convert|625|hp|kW|lk=in|abbr=on}} Wright R-1510-26 engine.[1] Development and designThe XF3J had elliptical fabric covered wings which gave it the appearance of a butterfly. The fuselage was semimonocoque metallic with an aluminum skin. The undercarriage was fixed, and would be the last biplane fighter without a retractable gear that the U.S. Navy would test. The aircraft performed satisfactorily in testing, but more promising aircraft had been developed and, in September 1935, the program was terminated.[1] Specifications{{aerospecs|ref=[1] |met or eng?=eng |crew=1 |capacity= |length m=6.99 |length ft=22 |length in=11 |span m=8.84 |span ft=29 |span in=0 |height m=3.28 |height ft=10 |height in=9 |wing area sqm=22.3 |wing area sqft=240 |empty weight kg=1,232 |empty weight lb=2,717 |gross weight kg=1,822 |gross weight lb=4,016 |eng1 number=1 |eng1 type=Wright R-1510-26 |eng1 kw= |eng1 hp=625 |max speed kmh=336 |max speed mph=209 |cruise speed kmh= |cruise speed mph= |range km=2,253 |range miles=1,400 |endurance h= |endurance min= |ceiling m=7,468 |ceiling ft=24,500 |climb rate ms= |climb rate ftmin= |armament1=2 × {{convert|.30|in|mm|2|abbr=on}} machine guns |armament2={{convert|232|lb|kg|abbr=on}} bombs }}{{aircontent |see also= |related= |similar aircraft= |lists= }} References{{commons category|Berliner-Joyce XF3J}}Citations1. ^1 2 3 Angelucci, 1987. pp.61-62.
