He is the current coach of the female volleyball team Rio de Janeiro Vôlei Clube. Rezende is the most successful coach in the history of volleyball, accumulating more than 30 major titles in twenty-year career directing the Brazilian male and female teams,[1] while as of 2015 with 45 medals overall is the most successful team sport coach of all time.[2] CareerPlayerRezende played volleyball from 1979 to 1985, and competed in two Olympics, winning a silver medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics. He also finished sixth at the 1980 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal at the 1983 Pan American Games. Rezende played in Fluminense, Volley Atlantica Boavista, Flamengo and Vasco da Gama from 1972 to 1988.
