It is located between Highway 33 and Lac la Nonne, {{convert|99|km|mi}} northwest of Edmonton. DemographicsIn the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Summer Village of Birch Cove recorded a population of 45 living in 20 of its 74 total private dwellings, which represents no change from its 2011 population of 45. With a land area of {{convert|0.3|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}}, it had a population density of {{Pop density|45|0.3|km2|sqmi|prec=1}} in 2016.[3] In the 2011 Census, the Summer Village of Birch Cove had a population of 45 living in 20 of its 60 total dwellings, an 18.4% change from its 2006 population of 38.
