Blackmill ({{lang-cy|Melin Ifan Ddu}}) is a small village within Bridgend County Borough Council, in south Wales. It is located at the confluence of the Ogwr Fach and Ogmore rivers, around 8 km north-east of Bridgend town and 5 km west of Gilfach Goch. It is sited within the community (parish) of Ogmore Valley.[1] The ward population taken at the 2011 census was 2,493.[2] The settlement was the site of a Wesleyan Methodist chapel which was built in 1885, although as of 2005 the building was no longer in use as a church and was due to be converted to housing.[3] In 1915 a new church (All Saints) was opened in the community.[4] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.explorebritain.info/locality-bridgend-blackmill-ss9386|title=Blackmill: Bridgend|publisher=Explore Britain|accessdate=19 July 2012}} {{Bridgend}}{{coord|51.5697|-3.5393|type:city(200)_region:GB|display=title}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ukcensusdata.com/blackmill-w05000595#sthash.nX3ZxY74.dpbs|title=Ward population 2011 |accessdate=10 April 2015}} 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Llandyfodwg/Chapels.html |title=Llandyfodwg: Chapels database |author=Gareth Hicks |date=10 July 2008 |work= |publisher=genuki.org.uk |accessdate=29 July 2010}} 4. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.ovlhs.co.uk/other-information.html#timeline2 |title=Timeline:Before 1920... |author= |date= |work= |publisher=Ogmore Valley Local History & Heritage Society |accessdate=17 December 2010}} 1 : Villages in Bridgend County Borough |
