It is owned by the city of Black River Falls and Jackson County.[1] It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2019–2023, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.[2] Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned BCK by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA[3] (which assigned BCK to Bolwarra, Queensland, Australia[4]). Facilities and aircraftBlack River Falls Area Airport covers an area of {{convert|353|acre|ha}} at an elevation of 836 feet (255 m) above mean sea level. It has one asphalt paved runway designated 8/26 which measures 4,601 by 75 feet (1,402 x 23 m). For the 12-month period ending June 7, 2016, the airport had 12,320 aircraft operations, an average of 34 per day: 98% general aviation and 2% air taxi.
