Blue Whale Harbour ({{Coord|54|4|S|37|1|W|source:GNIS|display=inline,title}}) is a small, sheltered anchorage entered {{convert|1|nmi|km|0}} west-southwest of Cape Constance, along the north coast of South Georgia Island. It was charted in 1930 by Discovery Investigations personnel. It is named for the blue whale, a commercially important species which was once widely distributed in polar and subpolar waters; numbers are now very small.Shelter Point is a point on the west side of the harbour, also charted and named descriptively by Discovery Investigations between 1929-30.[2] References1. ^1 {{cite gnis | type = antarid | id = 13702| name = Shelter Point | accessdate = 2017-12-19}}
