It is known, along with neighboring Arita, Saga Prefecture for its china manufacturing. As of March 31, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 14,940[1] and a density of 270 persons per km2. The total area is 56.00 km2.[2] GeographyHasami is located within the central part of Nagasaki prefecture, which is about 20 kilometers from central Sasebo.
