Written by Dave Clark and Mike Smith, it reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of 18 July 1964.[1] In the UK, the single rose to number 10 in June 1964.[2] It was the Dave Clark Five's fourth Gold Record.[3] The middle four bars start with the lyric "People talk and try to break us up. Well we know they don't understand", which is a direct lift from the 1960 Ray Charles song "Sticks And Stones". The B-side "No Time To Lose" was taken from the previous Dave Clark Five album "Glad All Over".[4] References1. ^Joel Whitburn Presents The Billboard Hot 100 Charts 2. ^{{Cite web |url=https://www.officialcharts.com/artist/10856/dave-clark-five/ |title=UK Official Charts: Dave Clark Five |author= |date=2019 |publisher=Official Charts Company |accessdate=2 February 2019 }} 3. ^{{cite book| first= Joseph| last= Murrells| year= 1978| title= The Book of Golden Discs| edition= 2nd| publisher= Barrie and Jenkins Ltd| location= London| pages= 157/8, 173 & 188| isbn= 0-214-20512-6}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.discogs.com/Dave-Clark-Five-Cant-You-See-That-Shes-Mine/release/865397 |title=The Dave Clark Five - Can't You See That She's Mine (Vinyl) |website=Discogs.com |date= |accessdate=2016-09-27}} External links
