}}Club Deportivo Audaz commonly known as CD Audaz, or simply Audaz, is a Salvadoran association football club based in Apastepeque, San Vicente.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

The club was founded in 1948 and currently plays in Primera División de Fútbol Profesional, the top division of Salvadoran football.

C.D. Audaz plays its home matches at the Estadio La Coyotera, located within the city.[7]

Audaz is known as Los Coyotes meaning "The Coyotes" due to its mascot.

History

Audaz was founded in 1948. For most of their history the club mostly spent it in the non professional league and Third Division.

Audaz won the Tercera División in 2014.

Two years later, after playing in the second for the first time in the club history, won the Clausura 2017 title, after they defeated Independiente FC 4–1 in a two-legged series, which included a shock 3–0 victory away from home.[8]

This was title was followed with the most glorious event in the club history, as Audaz were able to once again defeat Independiente (who were the Apertura 2016 Champion) in a promotion playoff 1–0, the lone goal coming from Santos Guzmán. Which enabled the club to play in the primera division (the top division in El Salvador) for the first time ever in the club history.

In January 2019, due to financial trouble, Audaz sold their spot in the Primera División de Fútbol Profesional to Independiente FC.
