As of the 2000 census, its population was 408. HistoryCedar Township was created in 1877. It is named from the Cedar Creek.[3] GeographyCedar Township covers an area of {{convert|36.19|sqmi|km2}} and contains two incorporated settlements: Rinard and Somers.
