It is the biggest village of Union Council 38. This village came into existence on the South Branch Canal created in 1901 by the British. In this village the most respected family is the Kahana family; they are also the most respected family in UC- 38. Although there are two political families, the Kahana and the janjua, the Kahana have a more significant winning ratio in the general and local body elections. In union council 38 the Kahana have excellent relations with other respected political families such as Karsal from Chak 20 S.B, Malik from Chak 11 S.B, Syed from Chak 11 S.B and Ghugh from Chak 66 S.B.in this village and UC-38 the Kahana are politically the strongest family.The chairman of UC-38 is also from this village, who was selected as a candidate by the Kahana family Raja Jahangeer Haider, who belongs to the Raja Janjua family. ln this village there are two major tribes: the Sunnis and Shiites. Different families from District Jehlum, Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan, moved there and got {{convert|50|acre|m2|adj=on}} per family agricultural land based on the mare they own. The people living here there major source of income is the Mandarin, the village is associated with facilities like natural gas, electricity and roads. The climate of this village in summer is about 40 °C, and in winter it reaches also 4 °C. In this village there are 5 mosques and 1 Shiite prayer place. This village has 2 graveyards. Most of the families are associated with agriculture. Area is good for the production of Kinno (Mondarian). Literacy rate is around 60%.
